We were required to post our top ten favorite songs and our ten least favorite songs. It's hard to find the top ten, because my favorites change so often, but here are some of my favorite and least favorite songs, in no particular order. (You can click on the song name to hear it.)
Favorite:
Elephant Gun, by Beirut
I first heard this song on a mix cd that a friend gave me. After listening to that cd, my taste in music changed dramatically. So I kind of associate this song with my taste in music. I also saw these guys in concert over the summer, and it was one of my favorite concerts I have been to.
Masterfade, by Andrew Bird
I became obsessed with Andrew Bird a few years ago. Some day I hope to whistle as well as he does.
Once in a Lifetime, by the Talking Heads
Really cool song. And I love the lyrics, even though I'm not sure I quite understand what they mean. Haha!
One Love, by Bob Marley
Such an awesome happy song.

If there is one song that can change my mood so drastically when I listen to it, it is this song. It is such a nostalgic song. I can listen to it over and over. I saw them in concert during a really awesome summer.
How it ends, DeVotchKa
This is on the soundtrack to Little Miss Sunshine. Such a great movie and such a great song.
I want to Break Free, by Queen
I grew up listening to Queen. This is one of my favorites of theirs. I often sing this, and when I do, I often belt it at the top of my lungs. Haha!
Folsom Prison Blues, by Johnny Cash
My dad was big into Johnny Cash, so I grew up listening to him. Because of my dad, it feels weird eating dinner without music playing. :)
La Valse D'Amelie, By Yann Tiersen
Amelie is one of my favorite movies. This is one the soundtrack to it. Yann Tiersen is a master pianist and this song just makes me melt.
Morning Morgantown, By Joni Mitchell
My mom used to sing this and play it on her guitar a bunch when I was a kid. This song brings good memories of my childhood, especially ones with my mom.
Least Favorite:
Clumsy, by Fergie
I hated this song as soon as it came out and then my boss played it everyday for a couple months. It drove me insane!
Bye bye bye, by N'sync
I was never into them at all. My older brother made fun of them like crazy when I was a kid and it kind of rubbed off.
Watching You, by Rodney Atkins
I hate modern country music.
You Belong with Me, by Taylor Swift
I rode the bus all through elementary school, middle school, and half of high school. The only radio station they played was a country station. So for an hour each day I was force feed horrible music.

Since I am from a small town in Northern Utah, almost everyone listens to country. Unfortunately.
